Using space-tech and blockchain to manage natural resources | UAE
Sustainability Issues: Water management in UAE is critical. Arid climate in the region means that everyone must work harder to conserve supplies. The country, therefore, needs to manage its water resources efficiently. The emergence of small and low-cost satellites equipped with highly effective sensors, as well as drastic reduction in cost of launching satellites in the last few years, has make space and satellite technology much more accessible to the wider industry. This technology can be used to monitor the availability and usage of natural resources such as water, which makes water management easier for countries like UAE. This project also aligns with SDG #12 (Responsible consumption and production) by achieving sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources.
